Arroyo
An arroyo is a dry river bed. This piece was inspired by the color of the soft sand and the layers that can be seen along the edges of such terrain in New Mexico. The plan of the piece included ruffled edges of the layers, which are not visible here, (as this image was taken when the piece was just completed). With time they have ravelled and separated-forming the piece I envisioned. A new image is forthcoming.
